Pre-acquisition Phase I Environmental Site Assessment of an electromagnet manufacturer in UK

Phase I pre-acquisition audit of a large electromagnet manufacturer based in southern England.  The audit involved the assessment of an off-site sub-let warehouse and an off-site short-lease storage facility.

Compliance assurance audit of an electronic sensor manufacturing plant in the East Midlands, UK

Acted as auditor in a three person team that carried out an EH&S Compliance Assurance Audit in a 650-employee manufacturing facility in Leicester, England.  Specialised in the areas of waste, medical surveillance and occupational health.

Compliance assurance audit of an electronics manufacturing plant in the west of Ireland

Acted as auditor in a two person team that carried out an EH&S Compliance Assurance Audit in an electronic sensor manufacturing facility in the west of Ireland on behalf of the corporate body.

Compliance assurance audit of an electronics manufacturing plant in SW England with follow-up secondment

Carried out a Environmental Compliance Audit at a Part B LAAPC-authorised electronics manufacturing plant (soon to be permitted as a 'deemed' Part B LAPPC facility) located in SW England upon instruction from the corporate EH&S team.  Prepared a report that listed in excess of 25 Corrective Actions. Support to address the CAs was provided in a second site-based secondment phase in early 2004.

Oxfordshire CC

Development and annual implementation of a Best Value performance audit of Oxfordshire County Council's contracted landfill service

A Landfill Performance methodology was produced on behalf of Oxfordshire County Council Waste Management Department to enable them to demonstrate Best Value for the landfill service provided at four landfills by three major national waste management companies.  The methodology focussed on compliance with the requirements of operators' licences, consents, permissions and working plans.  The methodology used the Audit and Agenda Modules of the environmental information management system E Quest to create reports. Individual Operator Reports were prepared for each site and meetings of involved parties were convened each year 2000 and 2005 at which non-compliances were presented and discussed.

Compliance assurance audit of an aerospace components manufacturing plant in SW England and a engine repair & overhaul facility in SE England, UK

Acted as the environmental auditor in a corporate EH&S team that audited one manufacturing plant and one service facility in England for compliance with regulations and corporate procedures.  One manufactures electronic products and the second repairs and overhauls engines.  Corrective actions were identified and reported using the corporate off-line audit tool.

Oxfordshire CC

Development and implementation of a Best Value performance audit of Oxfordshire County Council's 8 waste recycling centres

Devised a methodology for use by the Environmental Services section of Oxfordshire County Council to routinely audit the operational performance of the County's eight Waste Recycling Centres.  Baseline assessment reports were produced and the findings for each were reviewed with each of the site operators.  The methodology focuses on compliance with the requirements of industry good practice and good health & safety management.  The methodology uses an Off-Line Audit tool developed in collaboration with the Dutch IT company Eco Systems.

Phase I pre-acquisition audits of two assembly, repair & overhaul facilities operating within the aerospace sector and located near London's Heathrow and Gatwick Airports on behalf of a major US multinational corporation.
